Satan is finally defeated! REAP 18-Jun-2014

Read: Revelation 20:10 “and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

Examine: When the thousand years has ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come to deceive the nations.  He will surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city.  God will unleash fire from heaven and consume Satan and his army. They will be finally thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur forever and ever.

Apply: Satan is bound and placed in a pit for a thousand years.  Upon being released he comes out, gathers his armies and goes to deceive and attach the beloved city.  God unleashes fire from heaven and consumes them.  They are sent to the lake of fire and sulfur and will be tormented forever and ever.  Satan is finally defeated.  I’ve been reading this book straight through the past twenty days and the final defeat of Satan, and all who follow him, is here.  He is shut up for a thousand years so that he cannot deceive any of the nations any longer.  Upon being released he goes right after it, right after the nations.  He knows his time is short, and it is.  He and his army is consumed and cast into hell.
I’ve been anticipating this chapter in the book for a few days now.  Satan is finally defeated and placed where he can no longer escape and deceive people.  Sin will be no more and Jesus will rightly reign on his earth.  Along with this comes judgment, but I know that my heart was sealed with the Holy Spirit when I first believed.  Sometimes I doubt that I’m good enough or that I’m doing the right things.  I need to stop looking at me and look to the person, Jesus, who took all my doubts, shame, and other thoughts like this with him on the cross. I am a child of God, I am an ambassador to Christ.  Yes, one day I will be standing in line waiting for them to look up my name in the book of life.  It will be there, because I am in Him and He is in me.

Pray: Father, thank you for these words today.  Thank you Lord that you have saved me and that I will be standing eagerly in the judgment line waiting to enter your kingdom.  Thank you that I can rest on your promises.  Satan will finally be defeated, you will rightly reign over all things.  In Your Name I pray.  Amen.
